Proper Job Set-Up - continued

Mental preparation is just as important as physical preparation. This too
requires adequate sleep. Our brains need the down time to recycle and reboot. Proper mental preparation aids in
focusing on the tasks at hand. Memorizing these and all other work methods is a great way to facilitate mental
preparation and promote safe behavior.
As we memorize methods and use them each day we develop habits that will make for
automatic proper behaviors.
Lastly, arriving at work early helps us to mentally focus on
our work activities. When we arrive late for work our minds becomes distracted by a number of concerns
including trying to catch up on productivity. This makes us much more prone to behaviors that can lead to mistakes
and injuries.
