Proper Job Set-Up - continued
Work area preparation. This method actually begins the day before.
It starts by making sure tools and other work aids are returned to their proper storage areas at the end of the
work day. This way, the tools/aids are much more likely to be where they should be the next day.
Notifying management about damaged tools is also a part of this method. This way tools,
etc. can be repaired in a timely fashion. Implementing this method requires that proper pre and post-trip
inspections are completed and reported each day.
In addition, having a standard beginning of day routine makes the job much more efficient
and hassle free, which can aid in injury reduction and proficiency.
